What is a pattern?

A pattern is a small "template" that describes how the word should be positioned on the board. You combine fixed letters with wildcard characters:

  • A, GE – letters already on the board
  • . – exactly one any letter
  • * – 0 or more any letters (rest of the word)

Pattern examples

  • M* → words starting with M
    Examples: MAKE, MORE, MORNING

  • *D → words ending with D
